Poštová banka issues all Maestro debit cards with an international chip. This built-in chip includes security features that increase the safety of the debit card from fraud. All Maestro debit cards still contain also magnetic stripe to provide acceptance on ATMs and POS terminals, which are not chip-ready.
Issue conditions:
- opening of account with Poštová banka and submitting of application for issuing of card
Bank issues international Maestro debit card to:
- personal accounts in domestic and foreign currency
- business accounts in domestic and business accounts in foreign currency
ATM daily limit (ATM daily withdrawal limit: € 0 - 1,200 or its equivalent in foreign currency
POS daily limit (daily limit of cashless payment at merchants): € 0 - 1,500 or equivalent in foreign currency
Use of debit card in the area of SR and abroad for:
- cash withdrawal from Poštová banka ATMs and ATMs of other banks marked with Maestro logo
- cash withdrawal and payment of postal orders, invoices, collection and other payments through POŠTOMAT ATM located at post offices
- cash withdrawal at payment places of banks accepting Maestro cards
- cashless payments for goods and services by means of POS terminals at merchants marked with Maestro logo
- recharging of mobile phone credit for Easy and Prima cards through ATMs in the area of SR
