Eurogiro service is ranked among the easiest and cheapest ways of sending money abroad. The service is made through the international electronic network EUROGIRO NETWORK A/S by the following countries at present:
Austria, Switzerland and Lichtenstein, Great Britain, Belgium, Germany, Denmark, Italy, Japan, USA, Czech Republic, Turkey*, Portugal*, Hungary, Serbia, Greece*, Croatia*, Romania*, Luxembourg, Canada, Poland*.
* Only money intended for payment in cash can be sent into these countries.
Sender of payment can be:
- anyone, i.e. not only client of Poštová banka
Payment abroad can be remitted by sender:
- at all branches of posts in SR by depositing cash in domestic currency
- at branches of Poštová banka depositing cash in domestic or foreign currency,
- through Internet banking service from account in domestic or foreign currency kept with Poštová banka
Funds paid abroad can be remitted:
- for payment in cash
- to account of recipient
Maximum remitted amount and method of remitting funds are different for every contry and are specified in the Charge list.
Period of remitting of funds abroad:
- in the event of payment of cash - 5 - 6 business days
- in the event of sending to account of recipient kept with Eurogiro member bank - 3 - 4 business days
- in the event of sending to account of recipient kept with other bank in Eurogiro member country - 4 - 5 business days
